About Us!
"Formed on August 25, 1982 as part of TRTA: Texas Retired Teachers Association. We encompass Cooke, Wise, Denton, Palo Pinto, Parker, Tarrant, Hood, Johnson and Somervell counties. There are 21 local chapters which meet September thru May. We are committed to educating and sharing with retired teachers about TRS, WEP(Windfall Elimination Provision), GPO, Health and Safety. We are involved in our communities by volunteering, giving out scholarships and grants, and putting books into the hands of children through the Children's Book Project.
